The much respected bodyshop supplier TEROSON, has extended product programme to make it one of the most comprehensive available for collision repair.
TEROSON is Henkel’s brand for bonding, sealing, coating and reinforcing in automotive body, vehicle repair and maintenance applications and it now also includes a full range of body fillers. At the heart of this new TEROSON adhesive technology is Plastic Padding, a long-established Henkel brand whose body fillers have been continuously developed and improved to meet the needs of the modern bodyshop. These new formulations, together with new product introductions provide a comprehensive system for bodywork repair under the TEROSON Professional banner.
In common with many other Henkel brands, Plastic Padding was a leading innovator in its field. The company became part of Henkel in 1997 as the result of its LOCTITE acquisition. Plastic Padding introduced polyester fillers over 60 years ago and subsequently developed the technology to create an automotive filler paste that was safer to use, easier to apply and one which soon became the preferred repair method for most bodyshops.
Today’s TEROSON range provides fillers for every substrate and includes products for plastic parts, such as bumpers, through to those that adhere to metals, alloys and glass fibre. Designed for professional bodyshops, each product in the range provides excellent adhesion and, when cured, is easily sanded to create a super-smooth surface that restores the original profile.
After painting the repair is as good as new, resistant to chemical and weather attack and will last the lifetime of the vehicle. It will not shrink and is flexible enough to withstand body movement, vibration and minor knocks. To guarantee this performance all the TEROSON filler products undergo elaborate product testing.
An important product in the TEROSON Professional range is TEROSON UP 270. This is an innovative new flowable filler that is suitable for the smallest scratch or imperfection and sandable within 20 minutes of application.
The range comes in a variety of pack sizes to suit individual needs with the choice including 540ml and 1300ml tins and 1700ml dispenser cartridges. As with all TEROSON products it is supported by both on-line and off-line training modules that are available on the Henkel VRM portal www.carrepairsolutions.co.uk
