Italian diagnostics and A/C service equipment specialist TEXA has marked the production of 50,000 KONFORT stations of the new Series 700 air-con service units with a celebration and the opening of two new automated production lines.

Vehicle air conditioning service and system recharge is very much a growing business area in the aftermarket and recognising this TEXA has opened an additional production area of over 5,000 square metres that employs 65 people dedicated to A/C equipment production.

The milestone of 50,000 Series 700 KONFORT stations in the last five years represents a record result in the industry. These sophisticated systems are dedicated to servicing and charging vehicle air conditioning systems and are recommended by many car markers for aftersales use.

Bruno Vianello, President of TEXA said, “The 50,000 KONFORT 700 stations produced represent without doubt a great achievement for us, which confirms our position as a leader in the industry of equipment for mechanical workshops. If we also count the machines that are part of the previous series, KONFORT 600, we go over 70,000 units which represents a true record in an industry like ours. We will certainly not stop here; on the contrary, thanks to the new space, we count on establishing a new production record during 2017”.

The KONFORT range has 10 models, able to operate with all of the three refrigerants that are used in the automotive industry today: R134a, R1234yf and the recent R744.

The success of the KONFORT contributed to a record year for TEXA in 2016, with a 29% increase in the sale of its a/c equipment and advanced diagnostics systems.
