Thatcham has launched an enhanced version of its escribe information service which gives repairers access to repair methods and processes.
With more and more new metals now in use on vehicles, many requiring special repair techniques, having access to high quality and up-to-date process information is now vital. escribe is seen as on of the most comprehensive tools in this important field.
The enhanced service was launched at the Thatcham Repair Focus event. Thatcham Chief Executive, Peter Shaw, said, "A significant investment in our IT infrastructure and a rationalisation of our own internal operations means that going forward we will be able to deliver on our commitment to provide always up to date light structural repair information, as close to vehicle launch as possible, and through a significantly enhanced and keenly priced new product."
Those attending the launch were given a preview of the enhanced service which includes an intuitive new user interface, and smart integration of Thatcham's methods, times and an optional parts module. Thatcham say, repair method information will be uploaded as soon as research engineers complete a vehicle.
