What are the most common causes of accidents? Excess speed, alcohol, mobile phones? According to new research some of the worst culprits could be the likes of Adele and Justin Bieber.

A study conducted by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk has found that around 20% of accident and near misses are due to the distraction of music. The survey of over 2000 UK drivers also identified the artists most likely to be playing when the distraction was caused. 18% had Adele on the play list while 17% suggested Justin Bieber might be causing them to lose concentration.

However, perhaps the most surprising finding was that when asked why the music had been such a distraction, 43% of respondents said they were singing and dancing instead of concentrating on the road.
