Launched in 2018, the CUPRA brand Is growing in Ireland with the appointment of three new dealers.

These announcements is part of the brand’s preparation for the imminent arrival of the new Formentor along with their three current models, CUPRA Leon, CUPRA Leon Sportstourer and CUPRA Ateca.

To date there was just one CUPRA retailer, Bright CUPRA Airside in Dublin and they will now be joined by new CUPRA retailers that will be located at James Barry Motors Limerick, Johnson and Perrott, Mahon Point, Cork and McCoy Motors, Lucan, Dublin.

Each of the four retailers will provide an exclusive CUPRA area as part of the SEAT showroom, which will display the brand’s innovative product range the new CUPRA Leon, new CUPRA Leon Sportstourer and new CUPRA Ateca and of course the much anticipated CUPRA Formentor, which are due to launch in December.

As the brand continues to develop its roots in the Irish market, there will be significant investment in the creation of new roles through the recruitment of CUPRA Specialists for new retailers.

The investment in the new CUPRA retailers marks an exciting time for the brand as it also begins its journey towards electrification. Three high performance plug-in hybrid vehicles will be launched, the CUPRA Formentor, CUPRA Leon and CUPRA Leon Sportstourer in the coming months and in 2021, the brand will launch its first all-electric vehicle: CUPRA Born.

Niall Phillips, Brand Director for SEAT and CUPRA Ireland said “It is an incredibly exciting time for the CUPRA brand in Ireland as we welcome three new CUPRA retailers to the network. Since the brands launch in 2018, it has seen significant growth, and this is marked by the launch of CUPRA’s first standalone vehicle – the CUPRA Formentor, an advanced premium crossover that will offer customers a unique experience. With plans to increase our retail network further in Ireland by 2022, we look forward to adding more CUPRA retailers to our network as the brand continues its expansion across Ireland.”
