Main Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle dealer Tom Murphy Car Sales has announced plans to open the first dedicated van centre in Waterford with an extensive remodelling of an existing showroom on its site.


Opening in October, the new facility will be used exclusively to showcase the growing range of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Alan Bateson, Brand Director for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Ireland commented: “This is fantastic news for Commercial Vehicle customers in Waterford and we have every confidence that the team at Tom Murphys will drive the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand forward in the region.”

Richard Murphy, Director of Tom Murphy Car Sales said: “This is a project we have planning towards for a number of years. Commercial Vehicle customers deserve the same high standards of service that passenger car customers expect and our goal in our new showroom is to have dedicated van people, doing van business with van customers in a van environment.”

With the launch of the new Caddy and Transporter complete, the all new Crafter due for release in 2017 and a new 225 Bhp version of the award winning Amarok hitting the market later this year an exciting period of growth lies ahead for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Tom Murphy’s Volkswagen Van Centre.
