Toyota Ireland is excited to announce that the legendary Land Cruiser is back.

After a wait of 15 years the commercial model is hitting the Irish roads and countryside this June. The wait for commercial drivers is finally over, open for orders now.

Unveiled to enthusiastic crowds at the 2024 National Ploughing Championships, the new exterior design pays homage to the classic Land Cruiser. This latest version combines retro aesthetics with cutting-edge technology and raw power, making it a standout choice for drivers tackling rugged, off-road terrain.

The highly sought after commercial model is priced from €57,192 ex VAT. Toyota is expecting the commercial model of this iconic model to sell quickly, and potential customers are urged to place their orders early with their local Toyota dealership to avoid disappointment.

Built for the toughest terrains, the Land Cruiser is renowned among Irish farmers, adventurers, and motoring enthusiasts for its quality, durability, and reliability. The all-new model enhances these attributes with a powerful 2.8L diesel engine, a redesigned turbocharger, and an advanced eight-speed automatic transmission, ensuring a smoother and more efficient driving experience both on and off-road.

The Land Cruiser can now tow up to 3.5 tonnes (matching the towing capacity of the Toyota Hilux), making it the ideal choice for drivers requiring a vehicle that can take on tough challenges. Designed to be the ideal companion for drivers moving heavy loads, managing a farm, or working in rugged terrain, the commercial model is set to be a hit in Ireland yet again.

The introduction of electric power steering replaces the former hydraulic system, improving off-road handling while enabling lane assist as part of Toyota’s renowned Safety Sense system.

Performance highlights include:

  • Engine: 2.8L Diesel (2755cc)
  • Max Power: 204hp (151 kW @ 3,400 rpm)
  • Max Torque: 500Nm @ 1,600-2,800 rpm
  • Acceleration (0-100km/h): 12 seconds
  • Fuel Consumption (Combined WLTP): 10.6 L/100km
  • CO₂ Emissions (WLTP): 278 g/km
  • Towing Capacity: 3.5 tonnes (braked)

The intelligent cockpit ensures seamless connectivity between your car and smartphone via the MyToyota App, allowing drivers to check trip data and even control remote air conditioning. Additionally, the Land Cruiser comes with Wireless Smartphone Integration (Apple CarPlay & Android Auto), a rear-view camera with washer, and front & rear parking sensors for enhanced safety.

Interior highlights include:

  • 9” / 12.3” touchscreen infotainment system
  • Adaptive cruise control for effortless motorway driving
  • 7” / 12.3” coloured TFT information display
  • Dual-zone climate control for added comfort

Ahead of the arrival, Zoë Bradley, Head of Marketing Communications and Corporate Affairs in Toyota Ireland, said, “The Land Cruiser has long been a symbol of resilience, reliability, and adventure, and this all-new model takes those qualities to the next level.

"Blending modern-retro styling with advanced technology and improved performance, the next-generation Land Cruiser is designed to take on everything Ireland throws its way—from farm tracks to rugged backroads. Loyal fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Commercial model, with pre-orders already rolling in. Demand is expected to grow, so we encourage customers to order early to avoid disappointment."
