Castleblayney-based haulier Carna Transport has taken completed delivery of a 20-strong consignment of Mercedes-Benz Actros 2545LS Giga Space units.
The new trucks were purchased to service their expanding domestic, UK and European networks services.
Pictured leaving Mercedes-Benz headquarters on Dublin¹s Naas Road, the units were supplied and delivered via A&M Commercials of Castleshane, Monaghan - a company with over 30 years¹ experience in the truck business.
The new 6X2 tractor units are factory painted in Carna Transport’s distinctive white livery and fitted with Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC) option, twin bunks, fridge and 2.5m flat floor.
The decision to purchase Actros is said by Carna to have been largely influenced by their ‘positive experience’ with Mercedes-Benz and Actros.
“Of importance to us is the trans-continental, on-the-road support that Mercedes-Benz provides for hauliers, coupled with the effectiveness of the Actros in delivering real fuel savings,” a company spokesman said.
