Vantastival 2016 will be “powered by” Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. This is the most significant partnership ever announced for the Festival and reflects its growing influence on the Irish music calendar.
As Ireland’s most loved vans for over 65 years, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles sees a natural partnership with Vantastival. Hundreds of Volkswagen campervans, dating from the 1950s to present day, travel to Co. Louth each year for the Music and Campervan Festival. The sponsorship deal ties in with the re-imagination of the event at Vantastival’s new home, Beaulieu House & Gardens in Drogheda. Alan Bateson, Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland commented “Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has a long history of supporting events that bring together its customer base and the sponsorship of Vantastival gives us a unique opportunity to invest in the partnership we have with so many of our Campervan owners”.
Badly Drawn Boy will headline the Volkswagen Main Stage on Saturday 4th June. New additions to the already impressive line-up also include Dublin hip-hop artist Sample Answer, Meath singer-songwriter Saramai who recently appeared in the IMRO Other Room on Other Voices, and local folk/trad trio Kern, featuring the voice and guitar of SJ McArdle. Vantastival 2016 will take place on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June. In addition to a fantastic music line up, other attractions will include The Volkswagen Campervan Cook-off, an open mic stage, art installations, storytelling, festival traders, a host of children’s activities and much more. Vantastival has something for everyone, with or without a campervan! Weekend tickets are on sale now at €75 + booking fee for two nights camping.
