Vantastival is excited to announce that following the success of last year’s partnership, the 2017 Festival will once again be “powered by” Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

The Festival’s first line-up announcement was released this morning with The Riptide Movement due to headline The Volkswagen Main Stage on Saturday 3rd June.  Having blown the Irish music scene wide open in 2014 with their Number One, gold-selling album ‘Getting Through’, a string of Top 10 singles and various sold-out headline tours, the four-piece's new single “Changeling” from their Top 5 charting album “Ghosts”, is out now.

The line-up also includes Choice Music Prize nominees Overhead, The Albatross, the exceptional Dublin folk four-piece Lankum (formerly Lynched), and the inimitable Kíla – due to release a new live album on St. Patrick’s Day. A large number of exciting up-and-coming indie acts are on the Vantastival bill, and with many more acts yet to be announced, the Festival is sure to live up to its reputation as an affordable event which showcases the very best of Irish acts.

The continued partnership with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is a natural fit for Vantastival, the country’s only campervan-themed music festival, which attracts hundreds of Volkswagen campervans to Co. Louth each year for the June bank holiday weekend.  Alan Bateson, Managing Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland, commented “We are delighted to be returning for our second year in 2017 as title sponsor to Vantastival and we are excited to see that our Brand Ambassadors, The Riptide Movement have been announced as the headline act for the Saturday night on the Volkswagen Main Stage.  We look forward to being part of another successful event this year.”

Vantastival 2017 will take place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th June at Beaulieu House & Gardens, Drogheda.  Other attractions will include The Volkswagen Campervan Cook-off, open mic sessions, art installations, storytelling, festival traders, a host of children’s activities and much more.  Vantastival has something for everyone, with or without a campervan! Weekend tickets are on sale now at €85 + booking fee for two nights camping. Day tickets cost €40.
