Versatility is key for bodyshops, when it comes to their choice of MIG/MAG welding and bonding equipment and visitors to the ABP show in Manchester, were very impressed by the flexibility of the latest equipment on the Car-O-Liner stand.
The CMI3000II is Car-O-Liner’s latest generation of MIG/MAG welding machine. Recently approved by Porsche, it combines the very latest technology with simple intuitive operation. It uses flash-card and inverter technology, meaning it can quickly adapt to the common shop scenario, of having to continually adjust processes to ensure high quality welding operations on different vehicles.
Car-O-Liner MD, Charlie Busby, explained that the digital intelligence of the CMI3000II makes it easy to find the programme relevant to the individual car make, even when working with aluminium. He says, "The diversity of metals in use on vehicles means that bodyshops need to adopt a multi material approach to repair and adapt quickly to differing repair needs. The CMI3000II offers all the required versatility, whilst maintaining the corrosion and strength properties of the material which is absolutely vital.”
The CMI3000II comes with the MIG-A Twist torch with a unique, rotatable swan neck, allowing access to hard-to-reach places. It is also possible to mount different modules on top of the torch for adjustment of the most important welding parameters.
The compact equipment is designed to match all new material requirements and individual user-patterns in all welding environments.
