Max Verstappen and Red Bull returned to winning ways in the Japanese Grand Prix after surviving a dramatic first lap before pulling comfortably clear and clinching another constructors’ title.
Verstappen who was under pressure at the start from McLaren pair of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris until he pulled away and now needs just one more win to wrap up the drivers’ title to add to his 13 wins so far this season.
Following this win Red Bull mathematically put the constructors’ championship out of their rivals’ reach to back up their 2022 win and make it two triumphs on the bounce and adding to the teams’ titles they achieved in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
A battle between the McLaren drivers was ultimately settled with finishing second ahead of Piastri who completed the podium.
