Reflecting a hunger for increased knowledge on new battery technology, Somora says that many garages have already signed up to attended its regional training evenings on AGM / EFB batteries which are being staged in conjunction with Yuasa Europe. Now as an added bonus anyone who attends a training evening will have the chance to a prize to attend a round of British Touring Car Championship as a VIP guest of Yuasa next year.

Two lucky attendees will win the special prize which includes flights, transfers, admission, and access to the Honda VIP area at a race weekend.

The AGM / EFB training evenings will be presented by Ian Newham, the head of Yuasa Europe’s Training Division and focus on AGM and EFB Stop / Start batteries, dispelling many of the myths that still surround this type of technology and highlighting the opportunities they present. It will also cover the Yuasa battery reprogramming tool.

Dates and venues for the events are:

• Tuesday October 9th  - Cork Airport Hotel, Cork
• Wednesday October 10th - Maldron Hotel,  Oranmore, Galway
• Thursday October 11th - Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan
