Last month the Vehicle Repairers Association (VRA) held a very well attended and successful meeting for the Limerick and Clare areas and is now in the process of establishing branches of the organisation in both of these counties. Two further meetings are now scheduled for the month of May. The details of these meetings are:
8.00 pm Wednesday May 11th – Creggan Court Hotel Athlone. This meeting is for repairers in the Midlands who may be interested in joining the VRA, especially those from the counties of Longford, Westmeath, Roscommon and Offaly.
8.00pm Wednesday May 25th - The Castle Hotel, Main Street, Macroom, Co. Cork. This meeting is for repairers in the South West area, especially those in Cork City, Cork County and Kerry.
At these meetings there will be a discussion on the challenges repairers currently face and the benefits of a strong representative body. Further regional meetings will be scheduled for June and July and the VRA hopes to complete the process of forming a full national association over the summer months.
