Opel Ireland has added Windsor Belgard to the Opel Dealer Network, and will take its place proudly at the 1.5-acre landmark dealership, located on the Belgard Road, Dublin 24.

Peter Nicholson, Managing Director of Windsor Motor Group, said: "The Windsor Motor Group has already enjoyed a long-standing, fruitful relationship with Opel at our Windsor Liffey Valley and Windsor Deansgrange showrooms. It is a natural step for us to take to extend our sales and service further, to bring the renowned and trusted brand to Windsor customers in Dublin 24."

Speaking of the appointment, James Brooks, Managing Director of Opel Ireland said: "We very much look forward to continuing to work in partnership with the highly experienced team at Windsor Motor Group and I wish them every success with the Opel brand on the Belgard Road. As the year 2022 draws to a close, this appointment gives me great confidence we are very well positioned to further strengthen Opel's market share in 2023."

He added: "This is an exciting time for Opel and our Dealer partners. Opel's light commercial vehicle market share performance in 2022 has seen the brand climb to a historic high of fourth position in the sales charts. Together with the new Grandland, the all-new-generation Opel Astra, Continental Tyres Irish Compact Car of the Year 2023, has just arrived to much applaud. Already armed with the all-electric Corsa, Mokka, Zafira-e and Vivaro-e Combi ranges, the rapid electrification of Opel's portfolio will continue in 2023 with the arrival of the new and powerful GSe plug-in hybrid Astra and Grandland models and the all-electric Astra, boasting a 412km range from a single charge.  By 2024, every model in the extensive Opel range will offer an electrified version - fully electric, or plug-in hybrid electric. By 2028, in Europe, Opel will be fully electric."

With a firm focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty, the extensive premises on the Belgard Road will now house a 5-car showroom for the Opel brand. The service centre is already home to a 6-bay workshop, employing 7 technicians working off the latest e-VHC aftersales technology.

Established in 1964, the Windsor Motor Group has become Ireland's largest dealer group, with over 350 staff and thousands of satisfied customers. The Windsor Motor group operates 12 dealerships located in Dublin, Meath, Galway, Louth and Wicklow.
