The general consensus on the male female divide when it comes to driving is that women are safer drivers. However, this assumption has been challenged by a comprehensive new study conducted by the University of Michigan's Transportation Research Institute.
It studied thousands of traffic accidents over a 20-year period and came up with some surprising findings. Researchers found that crashes involving two female drivers were "over represented" in five out of six different crash scenarios and a woman was far more likely to crash into another woman than a man.
