Federal-Mogul Global Aftermarket’s braking initiative 'You're in Control' has been given two new added dimensions with the revamp of the Ferodo website and the re-designed of its packaging for greater accessibility and product protection.

The www.myferodo.com website has been completely re-developed to make it easier to navigate and to amalgamate all of the technical tips, marketing support tools, catalogue data and new product news into one place. The new website also features a part-finder application and a cross-referencing function that allows the user to enter a competitor's reference number to identify the equivalent Ferodo OE-quality product. The design of the site also means it will automatically adapt to whatever device is being accessed on to optimise performance on smartphone, tablet or computer.

The company has also announced a roll out of new packaging for its products with the traditional red packaging replaced by a new premium design to ensure consistency with the packaging and support materials throughout the brand. The entire friction range now includes a top opening design for greater accessibility and improved structural stiffness for better product protection. The barcode has also been repositioned on the side of the box to make scanning and storage easier. Anti-counterfeit protection is provided by a tamper-evident holographic PRIOSPOT seal showing the Federal-Mogul logo. This can be validated with the unique Data Matrix Code on the box, which can be checked using a 2-D scanner or smartphone. Customers can also use the QR code on the box to direct them straight to www.myferodo.com where the alphanumeric code can also be verified.
