Everyone loves an underdog and on the face of it this fifth generation early 90’s Honda Civic was just that when it turned up at the Hart voor Auto's drag race event at the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. However, when the cars started battling it out down the quarter mile straight, it quickly transpired there was a lot more to this Civic than meets the eye.
The car is known as Goldy and is built by a company called Sneaky Tuning. Under its plain and simple exterior it has a turbocharged B18 engine, all wheel drive and the small matter of 1,040 horsepower.
Like a prize boxer, Goldy took on all comers during the day and beat them all over the drag race. The impressive list of knock outs included; a Porsche Panamera Turbo, Ram TRX, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Lamborghini Huracán, Audi RS 6 Avant and various BMWs.
