Continental has added wishbone bushings and ball joints to its product range. All the parts offer excellent fit and durability, allowing repair jobs to be carried out safely and to a high standard.
Wishbone bushings and ball joints soak up vibrations, making driving safe and comfortable. The key is an optimal bond of rubber and metal and this has been Continental’s core expertise for decades. Examples of the company’s products in this area include air spring systems and anti-vibration elements for rail vehicles, and mounts for machines weighing several metric tons. Continental has now carried this expertise over into the automotive aftermarket.
As far as suspension components are concerned, 310 products types in the wishbone bushing and ball joint product groups are now available. This allows fitters to cover around 70% of applications in the current European vehicle parc, with more items to be added.
Continental says its suspension components deliver crucial benefits for both drivers and fitters:
- Ease to fit: all metal parts and threads are an excellent fit.
- Longer lifespans: the metal parts are hardened with a corrosion-resistant coating.
- Robust: the high-quality rubber compounds are particularly ozone resistant and can withstand the toughest conditions.
- Reliable performance thanks to high-quality lubricants, micro-sealing lips and metal sealing rings.
The components are available to order with immediate effect. The quality of these parts means registered workshops cab offer 5-year guarantee, something no other manufacturer can match. Customers can also access a large number of practical services, including free fitting instructions and service videos in the Product Information Center (PIC).
Continental will be adding stabilizer links in March 2025. Following on from the wheel bearings newly introduced in late 2024, this means an extensive selection of drive belts, belt drive components, steering and suspension parts will now be available, along with the associated kits, tools and services from Continental stockists.
