NGK Ambassador Charlie Martin and teammate Jason Keats ended a memorable debut season together by claiming second place in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo LB Cup in the USA.

A rollercoaster meeting at Portimão looked set to go down right to the wire until a race two puncture spoiled the pair’s chances of taking home the championship win.

The duo finished second in race one which reduced the lead at the top of the championship to just three points before the final race of the season and were in second position in race two when disaster struck as a punctured tyre forced Keats to limp back into the pit before Charlie returned to take the car from last to fifth position in their Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2.

NGK Spark Plugs, a leading supplier of original equipment spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda sensors, is a long-term supporter of Charlie. Marketing Manager, Mark Hallam, commented, “It was a tremendous achievement by Charlie in this prestigious American championship and I’m sure she is looking forward to next season with great confidence.”
