Motorsport Ireland’s Young Rally Driver of the Year, 24 year old James Wilson from Armagh, got his season off to the best possible start.


Wilson won the covetedJunior section of the Cambrian Rally in North Wales, the opening round of the British Rally Championship in his Peugeot 208.

The Billy Coleman Award winner and his co-driver, Monaghan’s Arthur Kierans, claimed top place among the Juniors ahead of two more drivers from Ireland, William Creighton from Lisburn and Donegal’s Marty Gallagher, while Marty McCormack, Desi Henry and Josh Moffett took third, fourth and fifth positions overall.
