Eight Ford dealerships claimed the prestigious Ford Chairman's Award for their sales and service performance last year. The dealer principals collected their Awards from Ford of Europe Vice-President Ingvar Sviggum at a ceremony in the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin.
Matt Smyth of Ashley Ford in Dublin, Conor Cavanagh of CAB Motors Cork, Seamus Boland of Bolands of New Ross and Richard Downey of Downey’s Auto Stop, Portlaoise received awards for their dealerships’ car sales performance in 2009. For outstanding service, awards were collected by Liam Herlihy on behalf of Cavanaghs of Charleville, Bob Clarke of Bandon Motors and Neil Perry of Perrys of Athy, while Sean Lillis picked up the award for parts sales on behalf of Lillis O’Donnell on the Naas Road.
The Ford Chairman’s Award is based on direct feedback from customers who have purchased a vehicle from the dealership and is in recognition of a dealer's performance in meeting those customers’ expectations.
