Spray gun specialist SATA once again had one of the most eye-catching stands at Automechanika with a "Sweet Sixties" theme featuring a diner design and some stunning classic sports cars.
In line with its theme the show saw the launch of another of the sought after special addition SATA guns, in this case with a sixties inspired graphic design on a Special Edition of the SATAjet 5000 B.
However, the highlight at the show was the global launch of the new premium spray gun model the SATAjet X 5500. This features revolutionary nozzle technology and the company says will define a wholly new application standard for the future of refinishing.
Due to its large available nozzle spectrum, the new X-nozzle system offers the perfect solution for every application requirement. Both proven application technologies, HVLP and RP, remain available, but now each of them with the additional choice between "I" and "O"-nozzle sets meaning painters can now choose between two distinct spray fan shapes suiting their requirements.
In line with the increasing nozzle sizes, the material flow rate increases too, with constant increments, which means that the spray fan size and width remain unchanged across the entire nozzle spectrum.
Due to the optimised air distribution inside the spray gun body in combination with the new design of fluid tip and air cap, the air distribution insert is no longer required. In addition, SATA have managed to considerably reduce the noise level of this whispering nozzle during application, giving painters the feeling of a much softer and more comfortable coating process.
The gun is low maintenance as with no air distribution insert required it offers an easier and faster cleaning process. It is also designed to offer considerable material savings of up to 15% using the same application method as before.
