Three years ago Blue Print began adding essential workshop tools to their market leading range of vehicle components. Blue Print have always understood that whilst carrying out particular jobs during vehicle servicing and repair, there is often the need for a specific tool.

These tools are being identified and added to the range. The case is an excellent demonstration tool for Blue Print distributors and very popular with workshops as a complete kit.

Two of the most popular items in the kit (Oil Filter Drain Tool ADT35504 and Oil Filter Removal Tool ADT35502), are used together to replace the oil filter on Toyota D-4D diesel applications.  The oil filter housing contains a substantial amount of oil, even after the sump has been drained. The housing’s cap has a sprung valve which technicians would normally push a basic plastic coupling into it to drain the oil out. This gives very little control and normally results in the oil running up the technician’s arm and covering the floor. Blue Print’s drain tool prevents this from happening. This clever device allows the housing to be drained with complete control of the oil’s flow and direction.

After the oil has been drained from the housing, the exact fit oil filter wrench is essential to remove and refit the end of the oil filter housing. Without this tool it is difficult to access the oil filter and easy to damage the alloy housing cap. It also gives complete control when refitting the cap and tightening it to the correct torque and is guaranteed to save time.
