Induction Innovations to the rescue

Induction Innovations are the original inventors of handheld induction heating tools and as such has been refining and developing this technology longer than any other supplier. The company was found by a collision repair technician who wanted better solutions to difficult workshop tasks.

Using high-frequency magnetic fields, these flameless heating tools have been designed to solve problems, saving time and money. They can easily remove adhesives bonded to metal, fasteners bonded with thread lock compound, seized, or corroded parts, auto glass, body mouldings, spray-on bedliners, graphics and more.

Induction heating tools allow technicians to salvage automotive parts in record time, saving as much as 75% without the need for toxic solvents. Using an open flamed torch to remove parts can be dangerous, causing damage to the area surrounding the parts, this impacts on both profitability and the safety of employees.

Induction heating tools are changing the way the automotive repairs are carried out by only delivering heat where it is needed, from brake bleeder nuts, wheel bearing and struts, through to control arms, lug nuts and fasteners.

Especially popular right now is the Mini-Ductor Venom, the third generation in the Mini-Ductor series. Induction Innovations has a range of coils for every application, which are the only consumable part of the unit. This includes specific coils designed to get into recessed and tight areas. When used with the thin wall coil kit, the unit fits perfectly into the lug nut area without risking damage to the powder coating or burning the rim. The Mini-Ductor Venom gives you precise, safe and reliable heat to be able to heat the application without having to worry about the collateral damage of a torch.

For example with the Venom there are 4 simple steps to lug nut removal

1. Select the proper size coil. For best results, leave a small gap between the coil and lug nut
2. Insert the coil and lock it into place with the twist lock
3. Place the coil around the lug nut and heat for 15-20 seconds.
4. Remove the lug nut.

For larger jobs such as rotors, calipers, or other bigger application, the Pro-Max CE can come to the rescue. Using the concentrator (U-411) attachment, the technician can heat up other components in the tyre hub. Rather than having to use multiple brute force methods, Induction Innovation’s Pro-Max CE gives the option of breaking free components quickly and safely. Using a high-frequency magnetic field, it allows users to heat larger components without any collateral damage from a torch.
