The idea of creating a free entry co-op, one where people agree in principle with the idea of using their numbers to their benefit to keep prices fair and service quality high, is one that the Irish Recovery Network (IRN) have been thinking about for a while. Standing together, using the sheer weight of numbers to fight for a better deal is something which is even more pertinent in these recessionary times. This month the IRN are inviting all readers of Autobiz to put their names forward if they are open to the idea of a Co-op.
According to the IRN, there are many instances where you can utilise such a co-op, and the IRN have decided to start with stolen vehicle recovery systems. Last month a recovery lorry was stolen from a secure yard in Longford. Two weeks before that, a beavertail was taken in Dublin.
The IRN invites companies to use their supplier hub as a shop window for their products and the network have already been in talks with three companies who sell tracker systems, offering them a mini site on their supplier hub, as a means of advertising to the recovery market.
The three companies have been
asked by the IRN to present their products in a way that is comparable on a like for like basis. The IRN have also asked that they provide bulk discounts forthe co-op.
Next month the IRN will present their findings and select the best value service to go into the hub, giving all readers the opportunity to purchase a helpful service at a keen price.
