Adblue is crucial to the effective operation of modern diesel vehicles, however, the performance of this fluid can be compromised by crystallisation. This can happen for various reasons, with low temperature or poor storage conditions being common causes. 

To combat this issue LIQUI MOLY has developed DEF Anti Crystal Additive Concentrate, an ash-free combination of additives for the prevention of malfunctions in the SCR system of diesel engines. This additive reduces the formation of deposits in the AdBlue tank and AdBlue injection system. By lowering the surface tension of the AdBlue® (Leidenfrost Effect), the additive ensures finest atomisation of the urea solution. This It optimises the return flow of the AdBlue into the system, thereby minimizing the risk of crystallization. 

The product thus prevents blockages at the injectors, or in the pump, and avoids expensive repairs. It also protects the SCR system from freezing. AdBlue normally freezes at -11 °C, but the additive lowers the freezing point to -16 °C, thus ensuring full functionality even at very cold temperatures.

DEF Anti Crystal Additive is suitable for all SCR systems that are operated with a 32.5% urea solution (AdBlue, DEF). When adding the product to the AdBlue tank, it should ideally be after the filling process.
