Autobiz has been deeply shocked to hear about a horrific accident involving the MD of parts specialist FAI, Jonathan Alexander. Jonathan was involved in a motorbike accident on his way home from work and has since undergone three major operations and has had his lower leg amputated.
We are pleased to say that Jonathan is now at home continuing to recover with the support of medical staff, family, friends and colleagues in the automotive aftermarket.
Jonathan firmly believes that it was the prompt attendance of an air ambulance that saved him from further complications and as a result of this he has set out to fundraise for the Air Ambulance service. He has set-up a Just Giving page at:
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jonathan-alexander2. Making a donation here is simple, quick and secure.
Jonathan commented; “The cost of each Air Ambulance mission is £3000 and I have started the page by covering this. Please be generous and give what you can, I very much appreciate the support.” He also points out that the Air Ambulance Service does not receive funding from the UK government for its daily missions and relies entirely on voluntary donations and support from communities to help keep it flying.
Our best wishes go to Jonathan and his family and we wish him a safe and speedy recovery.
