MAHLE Aftermarket has made some significant additions to its comprehensive thermostat range with new applications added for important Ford, PSA, Toyota and Jaguar Land Rover models.
More than 500 individual part numbers now feature in the MAHLE Aftermarket thermostats range which includes, traditional thermostat inserts, housing thermostats (with the mixing chamber integral to the unit), Map-controlled thermostats, sleeve valve thermostats, oil thermostats and EGR thermostats that regulate the flow of coolant through the EGR cooler. In addition, MAHLE Aftermarket also supplies a multitude of thermal switches and thermocouples.
Notable new-to-range additions include two thermostat housings: TH-43-83, which caters for the 2.0-litre diesel engine used for Citroën C4/DS4/DS5 2011 onwards, Ford C-Max/Focus/Kuga/Mondeo, Peugeot 308/508/3008/5008 and Toyota Proace 2013 onwards and TH-46-83, which caters for the 2.2-litre diesel engine used for Citroën C5/C6/C8, Ford Galaxy/Mondeo/S-Max, Jaguar XF, Land Rover Range Rover and Peugeot 407/508/607/4007.
Two Map control and two insert thermostats have been added, TM-21-97 which caters for the 3.0-litre petrol engine used for BMW 5 and 6 Series, while TM-42-103 covers the same engine in the 6 Series and later versions of the 7 Series. Also new is TX-113-88D which caters for multiple applications in the Suzuki range, including Carry 1.3/Swift and Jimny 1.3/Vitara and Grand Vitara 1.6/Wagon R 1.3, as well as the 1.2-litre engine in the Chevrolet Aveo/Kalos.
With regard to heavy duty side applications, new to range is THD-3-82 catering for Volvo FH Series trucks (both 9.4 and 12.8-litre) and 9.4-litre B9 Series buses, all from September 2005 onwards.
