Manbat has introduced a new range of chargers from the highly respected US NOCO brand name.

Speaking about the new additions, Manbat Marketing Manager Myles Pemberton says, "We are delighted to have agreed a distribution arrangement with NOCO for a range of high quality chargers and battery boosters. NOCO is the premium brand in the US, where their products are the benchmark for performance, reliability and design.”

Myles says the charger range consists of three models, all with smart charging technology. This means they can remain permanently connected, as once they’ve charged the battery, they are designed to maintain it to ensure it remains in the best possible condition, whatever and wherever the application.

The range features the Genius G1100UK, which is a 1.1-amp charger for smaller batteries between 2.2 and 40Ah for applications such as motorcycles, ATVs and jet skis. It is suitable for both 6 and 12-volt batteries and will also provide an excellent maintenance option for larger applications like cars, motorhomes, boats and even commercial vehicles. 

The G3500UK is a versatile 3.5-amp charger that is expected to become the most popular model as it provides the charging capacity for the bulk of normal applications, catering for any vehicle with a battery in the range of 1.2 to 120Ah. As well as suitable for 6 and 12-volt batteries, both the G3500UK and G1100UK feature a standby mode and have staged LED charge displays to show the battery’s current state of charge.
The top of the range ‘professional’ charger is the G7200UK, which at 7.2-amps, provides the power required for the largest 230Ah battery in either 12 or 24-volt form. In addition to its immense charge capacity, it also incorporates several specialist charging modes designed to recover severely discharged batteries that will no longer accept a ‘normal’ charge.

Alongside these new chargers is an innovative booster pack. Myles says, "The NOCO GB30 Genius BOOST sets new standards when it comes to portable power and makes it entirely practical for the average motorist to carry a ‘pocket-sized’ jump starter in case of emergency. Incredibly, the GB30, which contains a high density lithium-ion battery, is capable of starting a petrol vehicle with up to a 6.0-litre engine or a 3.0-litre diesel for as many as 20 times on one charge.”

Myles explains that the booster also features spark-proof technology, is reverse polarity protected, holds its charge for a year and fits into the smallest glove box or the seat pocket. As it uses a USB connection, it can charge or be charged from virtually any device, laptop, smartphone, tablet etc. It also incorporates an ultra-bright, dual LED flashlight with seven modes including SOS and emergency strobe.
