Automotive journalist, TV presenter and content creator, Abigayle André has been named as hostess for the inaugural Schaeffler REPXPERT Conference which takes place at the Manufacturing Training Centre in Coventry on Wednesday 22nd May, 2024.
Renowned for her 'She Talks Cars' social media videos, Abigayle is a featured motoring expert on the BBC's Rip Off Britain television programme and is a presenter on Repair Lot, a classic car programme on DAVE.
“I'm incredibly passionate about the automotive industry, so I'm really excited to lead the Schaeffler REPEXPERT conference,” said Abigayle. “If independent garage owners and vehicle technicians want to be ahead of the curve, they should come. Schaeffler are giving so much value at this event.”
The day gets underway with two keynote speakers – to be announced in the coming weeks – and a panel discussion featuring Garage Forum members REPXPERT Ambassador Andy Savva ‘The Garage Inspector’, Tim Benson of Oldfields Garage, Matt Wiseman of Wiseman Motor Services, and Dean Lomas of DC Lomas Ltd.
Following a buffet lunch and networking opportunity, delegates will have a choice of three repeated breakout lectures presented by the likes of electric vehicle (EV) servicing and repairs pioneer, Matt Cleevely of Cleevely EV and Schaeffler’s own Sven Olev Müller, head of the award winning REPXPERT programme.
Elsewhere at the conference, a ‘Technical Zone’ will showcase the very latest innovations from Schaeffler and specially invited workshop service providers such as Laser Tools and Garage Hive.
"Abigayle's passion for all things automotive aligns perfectly with the objectives of the Schaeffler REPXPERT Conference,” said Matthew Selby, Sales and Marketing Director at Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd. “With her extensive experience and enthusiasm for the industry, Abigayle will inject a dynamic energy into the event, creating an engaging and informative experience for attendees.”
The Schaeffler REPXPERT Conference runs from 9am to 5pm at the Manufacturing Training Centre (MTC) Coventry. Attendees will be provided with breakfast, lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
With a limited attendance of 200 delegates, free tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Garages are urged to book early to avoid disappointment.
