Schaeffler has confirmed that it’s new national REPXPERT Conference for UK and Irish garages is to take place at the Manufacturing Training Centre (MTC) Coventry on Wednesday 22nd May 2024. 

The event, running from 9am to 5pm with breakfast and lunch included, builds upon the growing success of regional REPXPERT Academy Live events, which have regularly attracted up to 100 workshop professionals.

Following breakfast, the conference gets underway with two morning keynote speakers – to be announced in the coming weeks – and a panel discussion featuring Garage Forum members REPXPERT Ambassador Andy Savva ‘The Garage Inspector’, Tim Benson of Oldfields Garage, Matt Wiseman of Wiseman Motor Services, and Dean Lomas of DC Lomas.

After a hot buffet lunch and networking opportunity, delegates will have a choice of three repeated breakout lectures presented by the likes of electric vehicle (EV) servicing and repairs pioneer, Matt Cleevely of Cleevely EV. Meanwhile, a ‘Technical Zone’ will showcase the very latest innovations from Schaeffler and specially invited workshop service providers including Laser Tools and Garage Hive.

“This action-packed REPXPERT Conference has been created to provide garages with ideas and resources to deliver exceptional service,” said Matthew. “Achieving excellence means getting it right across a complex mix of areas like facilities, staffing, training, equipment, parts, processes and more. We absolutely want the conference to reflect the best of our sector, so whilst we appreciate the strenuous efforts of all garages, we’ll be making special recognition of a select few.”

The day will additionally incorporate the first ever REPXPERT Awards. The REPXPERT ‘Workshop’, ‘Extra Mile’ and ‘Apprentice’ of the Year award winners will be announced during the conference. More details will follow in the coming weeks.

The REPXPERT Conference will take place at MTC Coventry, a venue that blends state-of-the-art conference facilities within a fully equipped training centre, committed to closing the automotive skills gap. It is located close to Birmingham airport meaning it is easily accessible to Irish garage owners and technicians. 

Schaeffler will cap attendance at just 200 delegates, ensuring ample opportunity to access the content that most appeals. Free tickets are now available on a first-come, first-served basis – garages are advised to book early.
