A rewarding restoration
Share:

Many bodyshops have a restoration project or two lurking in the corner of a workshop or yard. Some end up a great success, while others fail to see the light of day and of course nothing happens too quickly. Many projects will also eat up more money than they will ever make. But that is not the case with this Ferrari restoration.

A 2004 Ferrari Enzo is up for auction next month in Paris which has had something of a chequered history. The car was crashed almost ten years ago in by disgraced businessman Bo Stefan Eriksson, apparently drag racing a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren on the California Pacific Coast Highway while over the drink drive limit. The vehicle split in two, but because of its rarity, it was considered worth salvaging.

After a painstaking repair, restoration, adaptation and repaint by the Ferrari Technical Assistance Service, it is now finally ready to find a new owner. Certified by the Ferrari Classic department and with just 1,500 miles on the clock it has a guide price of €1.5 to €2 million.
