Audi becomes Ireland’s first automotive manufacturer to launch online accessories shop.

In a rapidly changing digital environment, Audi Ireland has reacted to market demands by launching AudiShop.ie. The online store has a selection of over 800 Audi Genuine Accessories and merchandise, and offers nationwide delivery.

“One of the key words we use within the Audi brand and hear amongst external agencies is ‘digitalisation’,” said Steven Stein, Head of Aftersales for Audi Ireland.

“In early 2015, we initiated plans to build a website dedicated to the range of Audi Genuine Accessories and we were amazed by the level of interest and positive reaction from customers. This led to the development of a fully operational online shop. After a six-month project, AudiShop.ie was launched on 25 February 2016.”

The exclusive Audi online collection has an extensive range of products which includes roof boxes, child seats, vehicle care products, dog safety harnesses and Audi clothing.

“It’s a very streamlined process for the customer,” explains Cian Cox, Digital Business Specialist for Audi Ireland.

“In order to compete in the online retail forum, we wanted to create as little digital friction as possible, meaning the flow had to be seamless. We are delighted to be the first automotive manufacturer in Ireland to offer the online shop concept and we will continue to enhance it as customer needs change.”

The purchasing process asks the customer to include their local Audi dealership to ensure they have a point of contact. Home deliveries are routed through the selected Audi dealer and the customer is notified by them once the items arrive or are shipped.

Stein added: “Incorporating the Audi dealer network into our e-commerce service not only offers security and authenticity for customers, but allows us to develop AudiShop.ie as a platform for online booking and payment for services, repairs and beyond. This is an area we have already started to develop and intend to launch these additional features later in the year.”

Since its launch on 25 February, AudiShop.ie has seen over 7,700 unique visitors who have viewed over 70,000 pages. All deliveries from AudiShop.ie are just €5.
