Autoelectro has been entered into The Green World Awards for the Environment after being recognised as an International Green World Ambassador at a ceremony in London. The honour was awarded thanks to the environmental success of the company’s Remanufacture of Automotive Products project.

This success, combined with Autoelectro’s impressive Green Apple Environment award where it beat off 500 international nominees in August last year, has seen the company gain entry into a competition to find the ‘greenest’ organisation in the world. The final presentation will take place in Seoul, South Korea, in October.

Additionally, Autoelectro’s winning paper will be published inside The Green Book, the only annual work of reference on environmental best practice in the world. The book will be sent to the world’s leading environmental professionals, universities and libraries by The Green Organisation.

The award judges paid tribute to Autoelectro, praising its hard work in ensuring the remanufacturer runs a ‘green’ enterprise. Autoelectro refurbishes and markets car components, particularly alternators and starter motors, itself a green enterprise. Beyond this Autoelectro also reuses and recycles throughout the business model. It continues to lead the way in the industry and has earned ISO 9001 and 14001 along the way.
