A new pre audit service to help bodyshops prepare for their statuary compliance inspection under S.I 564 of 2012 offered by waste management specialist Soltec (Ireland) Ltd is already proving popular with repairers. With many local authorities now stepping up their enforcement activities, the new service helps bodyshops conform to environmental regulations and ensure they are correctly registered and are fully prepared for their inspection which is required to obtain their certificate of compliance. 

Coordinating the new service is Bernie Moore and she has already helped several repairers successfully prepare for audit. She says, "We can help bodyshops with the required record keeping, training and documentation as well as providing advice and a comprehensive pre-audit folder that can greatly simplify the process.” She adds, "We also use our extensive experience in waste management to look at a workshop and highlight areas where inspectors may have concerns. The new service is available to all bodyshops regardless of whether they currently utilise Soltec (Ireland) Ltd services. Bodyshops that do make use of theirwaste management services such as waste collection can claim a rebate on the cost.
