It is now six months since Synergy Vehicle Refinishing Solutions Ireland was established and took over the distribution of AkzoNobel refinish products, the Sikkens, Lesonal, Dynacoat, Sikkens Autocoat BT and Masons brands, in Ireland.
It has been an extremely busy time for Managing Director Peter Daly and his team and Peter says that more exciting times lie ahead.
Peter is delighted to report that the new operation is developing very successfully and he is quick to thank customers for their ongoing support. He comments, "Our bodyshop customers have reacted very positively to the new company and we have really appreciated their incredible support.” He adds, "I am also pleased to say that we have been able to develop new business and bring new customers on board even though the operation is still in its infancy.”
Peter attributes much of the success of the operation to a strong customer focus. He says, "Right from the outset of the company we wanted to design everything we do around our customers, so that we can offer a first class level of service that really meets their needs. This means providing the right colour support and technical back-up and meeting training needs in the field as well as first class product quality.”
It is a policy that seems to have paid dividends as in recent months Synergy customers have picked up some important accolades. Peter comments, "We were delighted that when the top bodyshops in Ireland were recognised at the SIMI Awards, Synergy customers using Sikkens came out on top. We are very proud to be suppliers to Red Abbey Motors, the overall Bodyshop of the Year as well as the two runners up, Fitzpatrick’s Garage, Kildare and Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs in Galway.” Peter adds, "Being associated with these high quality repairers is not only a privilege for us but clearly reflects our own dedication to first class service and top quality products.”
In recent weeks two more Synergy customers, Walsh’s Garage of Kilkenny and Tadg Riordan Motors Bodyshop in Ashbourne, have also received recognition of their exceptional repair quality and service in the form of being the first two repairers approved under the new Toyota TSM Approved Bodyshop Programme. Peter says, "We worked very closely with these two customers to help them meet the extremely high standards set by Toyota. They were both subjected to a very strict audit and it is testament to the training and expertise of their staff that they were able to secure this prestigious Toyota award.”
The team at Synergy continue to work hard to help their customers to perform at the very top of their game and Peter says they will look to find even more ways to improve performance and enhance quality. He comments, "You can’t afford to stand still in the bodyshop business and we will be introducing some exciting new product innovations over the coming months. We also continue to provide the type of apprentice training and skilled technician training that our customer’s need.”
