Bridgestone Ireland has won an exclusive three-year contract to supply tyres to Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus. This is the largest commercial tyre supply contract in Ireland, valued at approximately €3 million per annum.

“We believe we were successful in securing this contract, as Bridgestone was able to offer the best package of both product and service at a competitive price,” says Pat Curran, managing director, Bridgestone Ireland. “We’ve made a significant investment over the last five years and I believe this gives us a significant competitive edge in servicing large vehicle fleets.”

Bridgestone will supply approximately 30,000 tyres for some 2,700 buses, between Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus. Bridgestone personnel, based in the bus companies’ 11 depots around Ireland, will fit the tyres. In addition, technical and logistical support will be provided by Bridgestone personnel at its Balbriggan HQ. Two Bridgestone mobile van units will service and monitor school buses throughout the country.
