Clean engines use less fuel and reduce the pollutant emissions. To assist with this, LIQUI MOLY’s Diesel Purge helps to clean the engine and optimise the emission values. 

This innovative additive removes deposits on injection nozzles and in the combustion chamber. The additive boosts the cetane number and eliminates engine running problems such as knocking when idling and ensures smooth and quiet engine running. Diesel Purge also protects the entire fuel system against corrosion.

The additive is suitable for all diesel engines with and without a diesel particulate filter and is tested for compatibility with turbochargers. It can be used as a preventative measure at each inspection, after repairs to the fuel system, or for treating problems.

For preventive use the product is added to diesel fuel at inspection intervals. For remedial use the technician should disconnect the fuel feed and return lines and insert into the diesel purge. Then start the engine and run at a variety of different speeds, switching off before the container is empty.

The technician should then reconnect fuel lines to the fuel system and check for leaks. In cases of extreme contamination, the process can be repeated. 

Diesel Purge is fully compatible with all conventional diesel and biodiesel fuels. One can of 500 ml is sufficient to treat up to 75 litres of fuel.
