Max Coates continued his fine form in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB championship at the weekend to stay in contention for the 2023 title.

A dramatic final race at Donington Park saw NGK-sponsored Coates battle with his Graves Motorsport team mate Ethan Hammerton who remained ahead to take his first overall podium in the series.

Coates said, “I finished fourth, third in the Pro Class, which moves me up to second in the championship standings. With two events to go it’s all to play for and a focus on each race is the plan to the end. Overall another fantastic weekend, thanks to everyone involved.”

Becca Knight, Marketing Manager of Niterra UK Ltd, owner of the NGK brand, said, “It should be a very exciting end of the season for Max as he fights for the championship and I’m sure his fans, many of whose vehicles are fitted with NGK parts, will be cheering him on over the closing rounds.”

The series continues at Silverstone on September 23 & 24 before the final round at Brands Hatch on October 7 & 8.
