Corteco to highlight EPS opportunities with new Auto Suppliers initiative
Share:

Corteco and its recently acquired subsidiary Auto Suppliers Ltd will have a major presence at this year’s Automechanika.

The ASL stand will be located away from the main Corteco stand in Hall 5.1 at Stand C90. Here there will be special emphasis on the latest developments in remanufacturing technology. The company will be demonstrating a new piece of diagnostic equipment that will provide remanufacturing specialists with the ability to test and enhance the quality of rebuilt Electric Power Steering (EPS) units. It enables simulated installation into a vehicle, thus ensuring that finished products will be consistent with Original Equipment specifications.

This EPS initiative is significant because by 2020, it is estimated that 50% of vehicles in production (approximately 85 million units) will be equipped with EPS. Remanufactured parts are expected to play a major role in satisfying the market for replacements and Corteco-owned ASL is keen to demonstrate its technical expertise in this lucrative developing sector.

When ASL was acquired by Corteco last April, Chief Executive Officer Jason Meier, said the move united ASL expertise with Corteco's technical know-how in a way that would enable the company to deliver advances in product innovation and technical excellence across a range of business processes, more efficiently, to a wider market.
