DeVilbiss says it has been delighted with the very positive reaction it has received to the launch of its new generation spray gun the DV1, with many bodyshop in Ireland already enjoying the unique benefits of this new technology.
DeVilbiss believes the new DV1 is like no other gun on the market and offers groundbreaking levels of performance and efficiency. Everything in the design of the gun is totally new including new ergonomics, new air cap design, new fluid tip technology and new co-axial air valve design. The result is a gun that delivers ultimate finish quality, pinpoint colour accuracy and lower energy and material consumption.
The DV1 is the result of extensive research and develop at the DeVilbiss Atomisation Centre of Excellence aimed at achieving superior atomisation with high application speeds at lower air pressure. By maintaining a consistent particle size throughout the spray pattern, the DV1 ensures accurate colour reproduction and flake lay, even with difficult, highly pigmented silver basecoats. The gun has been engineered for performance, with an ultra-smooth trigger putting the painter in total control. DeVilbiss says it offers a well balanced, consistent spray pattern so the painter can achieve optimum transfer efficiency, reducing material consumption and resulting in accelerated production speeds.
The DV1 also offers a narrow colour window for the closet colour matching, reduced turbulence for minimal mottling/clouding, a combined air inlet and air control valve for smoother air control, reduced air pressure for improved transfer efficiency and a perfectly balanced, consistent spray pattern. Painters say the gun also feels natural and easy to use.
As an added benefit the DV1 has highly durable components that are quick to remove making it low maintenance and resulting in significant time savings.
