Easytrip, Ireland’s leading provider of electronic tolling & parking payment services has announced an initiative to help raise funds for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.  The current campaign will see Easytrip donate €5 for every new Easytrip account opened between 4th February through to 31st March 2013.

The campaign will kick off at East Link and Dublin Port Tunnel toll plazas from 4th February 2013.  Motorists can pick up a leaflet when passing through these plazas and sign up at www.easytrip.ie or lo call 1890 67 67 68 until 31st March 2013.  Promoting mobility and independence is a theme common to both organizations’ and Easytrip has identified Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind as its preferred charity with the aim of highlighting this worthy cause.

Speaking at the launch of the initiative, Dermot MacEvilly, Chief Executive Officer of Easytrip Services Ireland said, “Easytrip is committed to supporting the friends and families of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.  These dedicated caregivers commit themselves to helping people who are blind and vision impaired, and also families of children with autism, to achieve improved mobility and independence.

“Likewise, Easytrip’s own mission is to improve mobility for motorists and to give our customers one less thing to think about as they go about their day.  We are therefore proud to be announcing this fundraising campaign and hope it can contribute to the continued success of the charity. This is only the beginning of what we hope will become a flourishing partnership with Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind into the future,” MacEvilly concluded.

Also commenting on the campaign, Padraig Mallon, Chief Executive Officer, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind said, “We are delighted that Easytrip have chosen us for this promotion. Our staff uses the tags as they travel the country to support our clients and volunteers.  We know how convenient and cost effective the Easytrip facility is and would recommend that all motorists who use tolled roads should open an account. When you do you will be helping us to train and support people who are vision impaired and families of children with autism, everyone wins now that’s a good deal!” Mallon concluded.
