Following last months Motortec Automechanika, Ibérica held in Madrid, First Line has reported that its sales in Spain are growing rapidly, with particular interest in its Borg & Beck brand of braking products.

Although in the Spanish market for a number of years, the First Line brand has really seen business grow dramatically since the last Motortec show in 2011. Since then a team of new distributors has been put in place and a new export sales team has been driving activity. This includes the highly experienced team duo of Malcolm Crosby and Antonio Arriola who are based in Spain and in particular have been spearheading the rapid growth of the Borg & Beck range within the Spanish aftermarket.

The success in Spain reflects the emphasis that First Line has placed on product development and first class service, something which has also been paying dividends in Ireland. First Line’s export director, Kevin Neaverson said: “Spain was the first of
our export markets where we directly employed personnel that are based within the territory, but we took the step because it is such an important market for us and because we believe that face-to-face contact between our company and the wholesalers and distributors is the right way to do business.”
