Michelin has been selected as official tyre partner of the new FIA Formula E Championship which gets underway in 2014.

Intended to be the highest class of competition for one-make, single-seat, electrically-powered racing cars, Formula E events will be run exclusively on city-centre street circuits for which a preliminary calendar of ten host cities, including London, has been announced.

The partnership, which runs for the next three years, was announced following a tender process from which Michelin was selected based on its technical expertise, marketing plan and involvement in mobility promotion programmes.
