Ford steers a profitable course

The blue oval company is back in the black, with the Ford Motor Company announcing profits for the first time in four years. Despite difficult conditions, the company made some $2.7bn in 2009.


The profits come after previous years of serious cost cutting and debt reduction. Ford Europe in particular posted impressive figures for the last quarter of 2009.The company said it is also optimistic about its prospects in 2010.
