Opel Ireland has announced further expansion to its network with four new dealerships in Limerick, Offaly, Carlow and Kildare.

A total of 20 new jobs will be created with Hinchy’s in Limerick City and six new jobs with the O’Brien Group in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Meanwhile a further 44 jobs will be secured with the appointment of Fitzpatrick’s Garages in Carlow and Naas.

This brings the number of Opel dealerships in Ireland to 35, with a total of five new dealers being appointed in the last year. The fifth dealer that opened last July was Barlo Autos, Kilkenny. This positive news is a testament to the strength of the Opel brand having attracted such established dealers and also reaffirms Opel’s presence in the Irish market.

Dave Sheeran, Managing Director of Opel Ireland said: “Our customers are at the forefront of everything that we do. We have invested heavily in establishing a trusted dealer network to ensure our customers have a dedicated and professional service no matter where they are located.”

It’s the second Opel dealership for the Hinchy family in Limerick and the new showroom on the Ennis Road will further strengthen Hinchy’s leading presence in the county.

Meanwhile, Fitpatricks Garage Group is one of the most successful and reputable motor groups in Ireland with 110 employees. Following a major review of its business, Fitzpatricks identified Opel as a brand with enormous potential and decided to open a new Opel dealership late last year in Naas, Kildare and more recently on the Dublin Road, Carlow.

The O’Brien Group who were most recently appointed to the Opel network bring over 45 years of customer service experience and have recently undergone huge expansion of their business. O’Brien’s are in the process of building a brand new dealership which will be located on the Church Road, Tullamore, Co. Offaly and will boast a state of the art showroom and aftersales service workshop.

Located on the Dublin Road, Kilkenny Barlo Autos have enjoyed a busy year with Opel.
