Captains Prize held recently. The course proved to be a challenge on a fine but windy day.

Society Captain Paddy Egan was unfortunately not available on the day but he nominated his long time friend John Mannion to substitute for him. The outing was well attended by 54 golfers representing Motor Factors and Wholesalers from all parts of the country.

The dinner was preceded by the AGM at which Mark Lawless was re-elected as Society Hon’ Secretary and Tom Crowley re-elected as H/cap Secretary, other members elected were Liam Nolan and Seán Cronin. The President for this year Gerry Corcoran (Fermoy) announced that his Presidents outing will be held on Sept 20th at Dundrum House and Golf Club Co’ Tipperary.

John Mannion on behalf of Captain Paddy Egan thanked all the Sponsors for their invaluable and continued generosity in helping to make these outings such a success, while not forgetting the gifts for each player supplied by J&S and the 9th hole refreshments, supplied by Qualvicom Ltd.
