An exciting new, fun, family event has been announced for Galway next month. Miniature World will take place on Sunday April 7th in the Leisureland Event Centre in Salthill and will bring together some of Ireland’s largest and best collections of die-cast models and dioramas, including many classic automotive models.

This will be the largest show of its kind ever held in Galway and within days of being announced it was already oversubscribed by collectors eager to display their collections. With the main hall in the Leisureland Complex now fully booked, this promises to be one of the best displays of die-cast models in Ireland this year.

The show organiser, Thomas Heavey from Oranmore, a collector himself, said, “Having attended these types of events for years I identified a gap in the busy calendar for such a show in Galway. I have selected a varied mix of displays to include farm, truck and construction dioramas as well as many individual displays that include some of the best Lego and die-cast collections in the country. There will be everything from a collection of Jordan Formula 1 cars and memorabilia to one of Europe’s largest collections of 1:50 scale livestock trucks.”

Along with Ireland’s leading collectors, a number of specialist traders will also be in attendance with everything from the latest 1:50 scale trucks to all the accessories needed to build a realistic diorama.

For updates and more information please search ‘Miniature World Galway’ on Facebook or visit the  organiser’s website, www.irishvintagescene.ie, where advance tickets can be bought online to save 30% on the door price up to the 1st of April.

Miniature World takes places in the Leisureland Complex in Salthill on Sunday the 7th of April, and doors open to the public at 10am.
