Grzegorz Kalinecki in a VW Golf won round 5 of the Teng Tools Irish Touring Car Championship with a dominant win at Mondello Park recently.

Keith Campbell made his long awaited return to ITCC in his Honda powered VW Corrado but Kalinecki wasted little time taking the lead, with a move into turn 3 to get past Shane Rabbitt. Dean Reilly joined into the battle for the lead in his Honda Civic, making it a three way fight for the win.

Reilly was forced into an early retirement leaving second place Keith Campbell to chase down the Golf of Kalinecki while Shane Rabbitt and Eddie Kinirons contined to fight it out for third place.

The dramatic retirement of Shane Rabbitt gifted third place to Kinirons, the rear of the Mazda RX7 catching fire and eventually coming to a stop. From there Grzegorz Kalinecki took the win from Keith Campbell and Eddie Kinirons.

In Production Class, Ian O'Driscoll looked untroubled from Jay O'Reilly and David Cassidy with O'Driscoll takin the class win from O'Reilly with Cassidy in third place.

Eddie Kinirons in his BMW M3 who lined up on pole position for race two, with Keith Campbell alongside. Campbell got the better start, leading into turn one. Grzegorz Kalinecki made a move past the BMW of Kinirons to make chase in his VW Golf. Eventually Kalinecki made another move stick to take the lead of the race, and although the Corrado of Campbell and BMW M3 of Kinirons were still making themselves a nuisance, Kalinecki held on for the win.

In Production Class Robert Doherty got the jump on the rest of the grid to take the lead, with Jay O'Reilly, David Cassidy and Ian O'Driscoll battled it out with Nicole Drought in a four-way battle for second place.  In the most dramatic of finishes Ian O'Driscoll challenged Doherty on the last lap, a straight forward drag race from the last corner to the chequered flag, but Doherty kept his nose in front to take his first win of 2016, O'Driscoll having to settle for second place while Jay O'Reilly took the final podium position.
